Kylee's 6th Birthday!

I'm sorry, did I say Birth-DAY, what I meant to say was Birth-WEEK! This little girl has been so spoiled this week! For her actual day, she wanted myself and Brett take her to Tepanyaki, Build-a-Bear and then finally to Baskin Robins for an ice cream!

Kylee's big present (her bike) was hidden in the laundry room. I ran yarn around the entire house that Kylee had to unravel (sp?) until she came to the end of the string! Ha ha!

Mission complete!

Kylee's has grown a ton!! In the past year, she's grown about 4 inches!

On Saturday, we took her and 10 of her friends bowling and had sooo much fun! This was probably the funnest party yet!

Silly girls!

Brighton Blaine Bowles

Brighton Blaine Bowles was born on Monday, Jan 18th. 4 lbs 11 oz 16 inches long! So cute! Brighton was born at 33/34 weeks and is now in the NICU at IMC, as he is having trouble breathing on his own, but should be just fine! He is expected to be there for a couple of weeks! He's so stinkin cute! Congrats to Danny and Candace!

Mommy-Daughter Bowling

I took Kylee on a date today and we went bowling - so much fun!! I love spending time with Kylee - we have so much fun together! As you can see, she whooped my butt on the 2nd game! Ha ha!

Emma!

I have the opportunity to watch Emma a few days a week! She is such a good baby - reminds me a lot of Kylee! Just thought I'd post a pic of this cute little girl!

Oh CRAP!

Last week sometime, Kylee wanted me to put rollers in her hair and we didn't have too much going on that day, so I thought "what the hell!" Little did I know, this was NOT a good idea AT ALL! I only got pics of the before (as the after was too traumatizing - for the both of us)! I thought we were going to have to chop her hair off, as her hair had wrapped itself around itself and it was all tangled on the curlers! I seriously thought they weren't going to come out of her hair! NO MORE!!!

Mother of the Year Award

So, just had to post this evening's event's before I forget to write it down.

Every Sunday I take the opportunity to lay w/Kylee at night-time, to talk about anything, sing, make up stories, talk and sing some more until she falls asleep. Well, tonight we went to dinner w/my family for my Dad's 60th Birthday at Ruth's Diner up Immigration (sp?) Canyon. On the way home, she was super tired and fell asleep. Now, when Kylee was younger, this wasn't a problem - we would just take her from the car, to her bed, get her in her jammies and she'd sleep till morning. Lately, when she does this, when we get home is when she hits her 2nd wind.

After laying in her bed for two hours (and some aching, throbbing hips) I had become very frustrated and told her that if she didn't go to bed in the next two songs (on her radio) then I was going to my own bed and then rolled back over. She didn't say anything - until Brett came in to "wake" me up and noticed that she was still awake - well, that's when Kylee started crying and told Brett that she was so thirsty and that she was hot. Brett kindly got her a drink of water and while he was doing so, I asked her - "Kylee, why didn't you just ask me for a drink of water?" Kylee's response was "because I didn't want you to growl at me." Ugh - this made me realize what a peach I was being to my own daughter. I hugged and kissed her and told her that I was so sorry for being ornery. She said, "It's okay Mommy." Sigh - I sure love this little girl.

Anyway, after another hour of laying w/her (her still having a hard time falling asleep) she finally told me that I could go out and as soon as I did, she went right to sleep - go figure! I feel bad, as I shouldn't take for granted those Sunday evening talks that we get to have w/just me and her.

Kylee - I love you so very, very much and hope you know that! You are truly my angel here on earth and I am trying to be a better Mom each and every day! Please have patience w/me!
