Just an Update!

This month has flown by! Kylee has already been in school for six weeks and is still loving it! She is starting to read and write SO good! She had to give a talk in Primary on Sunday and when I went to show her, her talk - she just started reading it all by herself and needed NO help from me! She is too dang smart for me sometimes but we are SO proud of her! This is her last week until she is off track and I can't tell you enough how excited I am to have her home for a few weeks! I miss having her home during the day with me!

As for baby, it looks like he will be here in just a little less than three weeks (Sept 20th) if not sooner - PLEASE LORD, for my Mom's sake, let me and Heather go on separate days! Ha ha! Heather will be induced on Sept 13th at 10:00 p.m. so HOPEFULLY she can have little Emerson/Lila on the 14th (my Grandma Roden's death date). We believe that my Grandma has a lot to do w/myself and Heather being able to bring children into our homes and I know she is up there watching over all of us! We miss her very much - and my Grandpa too!

So - the countdown is on and we are getting so excited! We can't wait to hold two new babies and kiss them and know that they are here safely!

August Update

We have been busy this month! Baby will be here in just a little over 3 weeks (hopefully) and all has been going good. With all the frustration, worry, happiness, excitement, etc over this pregnancy - all in all, it's been pretty smooth and I can't complain. Since I have a two-vessel cord we have been able to see little man at least once a month (if not more). My doc says she wants to induce me a week early so hopefully we will have this little guy in our arms the week of the 19th! It's getting so close and we are getting so excited.

However, as excited as I am to have him in my arms, I have been enjoying being pregnant. I try not to take for granted the kicks and punches that are going on w/in me - it is THE BEST feeling in the world! I love how Kylee likes to kiss my belly and tell him that she loves him. I laugh every time Brett puts his hand on my belly (when little man is moving like crazy) and then he will automatically stop moving! Ha ha! Brett will just lay by me w/his hand on my belly for like 15 to 20 mins just so little man will get used to his hand being there so he knows it's okay to start moving around again - which he always does, w/out fail! Brett has been so very supportive through this pregnancy. With a few scares he is always telling me to take it easy and to not overdo it (which is hard for me). Last night I kept my feet up all night (thx to some wonderful swelling in my legs and feet) and he went and got us dinner, got Ky ready for bed and read some books w/Ky! Brett is a good husband and Dad and I know he loves his family very much!

We also celebrated Brett's 32nd Birthday this month (pics below)! Brett - thx for being such a good husband and Dad! Thank you for having good work ethics - you work your butt off every day and we appreciate all that you do for our family! Thank you for putting up w/my mood swings! Thank you for not complaining that I keep you up all night cuz I can't get comfortable and/or because I am snoring like crazy! Thank you for just being supportive of me this past eight months. I have been full of emotion and worry and feel bad, but love how you understand why I am feeling the way I do. It's very wierd to think that this is my 4th pregnancy but only my 2nd child! This past few years has definitely had its up's and down's but this year has only brought good (so far)! Brett got his journeyman's and is now running jobs again and now we are ready for a new baby boy! We are truly blessed, that's for sure!

The two pics at the bottom were one night when we were all tired so we just laid down in mine and Brett's bed to watch a movie and Kylee fell asleep on Brett! I love moments like this!! I love my family very much!!

I've got a 1st Grader!

Holy Cow ya'll - I can't believe I have a 1st grader! It's been a really different week for me not having her home, but she is loving 1st grade and loving her teacher Ms. Finlay! I am so glad that Kylee loves school and happy that she has a friend of her's (Mikaylie) in the same class! She is enjoying her three recesses and having lunch at school. So far we have eaten hot lunch two days and a home lunch today! I can't believe how old my Kylee is getting! It is going to be so much fun watching her grow over this year! We love you very much Kylee - you are our angel here on earth and hope you know that! I truly believe that with all my heart!

This and That!

So, here are some pictures that we took for Kylee's 1st grade poster and thought I'd post them on here! Dang, she's beautiful!!!

Draper Days 2010

Draper Days has arrived once again - Yipee! I love Draper Days - always have! Since we were little we have always attended the Draper parade and the carnival afterwards! Even though we missed the Draper parade this year we still partook of the festivities at the park both Friday and Saturday night!

Friday night was the Collin Raye concert! We all brought some food to eat, listened to the music, watched the girls dance and play and just enjoyed ourselves (oh - and the 5 bazillion trips we made to those dang porta-potties cuz Kylee had to go so many times - sigh)! Anyway, we had a nice time relaxing and listening to the good music!

On Saturday night we headed back to Draper park for the festivities. Kylee got to ride the ponies, play a couple of games (even won a new pet frog that has yet to be named), rode some rides, watched Brett try to win Kylee a huge stuffed animal, bounce houses, sno cones, listened to more music (Beatlemania)and finally watched fireworks! It was a fun weekend w/my family, as always!

Welcome to Primary!

That's right - you heard me! Myself and Brett have been called to be Primary Teachers for Kylee's class (CTR 5). We have taught for three weeks now and every week seems to be getting better and a little easier. It's going to be a challenge for us, mostly in testing our patience, but so far we are loving it and love being Kylee's teachers!

Kylee's Day w/Grandma Kris!

A couple of weeks ago my mother-in-law took Kylee for the day and they went to lunch, played and she got her a craft to do (a cute bird house)! Kylee loves spending time w/her Grandmas' and has the two best Grandmas' in the world!
