Draper Days 2010

Draper Days has arrived once again - Yipee! I love Draper Days - always have! Since we were little we have always attended the Draper parade and the carnival afterwards! Even though we missed the Draper parade this year we still partook of the festivities at the park both Friday and Saturday night!

Friday night was the Collin Raye concert! We all brought some food to eat, listened to the music, watched the girls dance and play and just enjoyed ourselves (oh - and the 5 bazillion trips we made to those dang porta-potties cuz Kylee had to go so many times - sigh)! Anyway, we had a nice time relaxing and listening to the good music!

On Saturday night we headed back to Draper park for the festivities. Kylee got to ride the ponies, play a couple of games (even won a new pet frog that has yet to be named), rode some rides, watched Brett try to win Kylee a huge stuffed animal, bounce houses, sno cones, listened to more music (Beatlemania)and finally watched fireworks! It was a fun weekend w/my family, as always!

Welcome to Primary!

That's right - you heard me! Myself and Brett have been called to be Primary Teachers for Kylee's class (CTR 5). We have taught for three weeks now and every week seems to be getting better and a little easier. It's going to be a challenge for us, mostly in testing our patience, but so far we are loving it and love being Kylee's teachers!

Kylee's Day w/Grandma Kris!

A couple of weeks ago my mother-in-law took Kylee for the day and they went to lunch, played and she got her a craft to do (a cute bird house)! Kylee loves spending time w/her Grandmas' and has the two best Grandmas' in the world!

Just a night at the beach!

Tonight we headed to the little beach/lake near our home w/our neighbors. The kids got so swim, we roasted some hot dogs and had a good time!

Pregnancy Update!

I am now 28 weeks along (12 more to go)! Time is now starting to go by so, so fast but every day that goes by the more excited we get.

This baby boy is so dang active - he is constantly moving around and kicking me, punching me, stretching - just MOVING! I love this feeling! I love the feeling that this kid is bringing to our family already!

Kylee is getting excited as well - she loves to kiss my belly and feel my belly move! She is going to be an amazing big sister, and I know that for a fact!

I now go to my doc appts every other week (due to having a two-vessel cord - I guess you're supposed to have three vessels). Anyway, I go in once a month for ultrasounds (to make sure my fluid level is o.k. and that the baby is growing as he should be) and then once a month to meet w/my doc. It's been an exciting, scary, frustrating, and AMAZING pregnancy all in one and here's to hoping everything will be just fine when he finally makes it to our home!

We love this little man already and can't wait to meet him and hold him and kiss him!

Baby's Bedroom!

Brett has done an awesome job on the baby's room and I am so excited that it's almost done (just a few finishing touches to add)! We are so excited to bring this baby into our family and am thankful and grateful that Heavenly Father is giving us this opportunity!

I tried to get some before pics but there weren't too many (oops)! I love this room now - it's so bright and happy!!!!

Happy 4th of July!

What a crazy, busy weekend - but it sure was fun to spend time w/our amazing neighborhood! Here's a recap of this whole weekend in one post..

Friday: Riverton Parade
Saturday: A huge slip and slide at the park, BBQ and fireworks
Sunday: Dinner w/Brett's parents and then home-made ice cream sundaes, fireworks w/the neighbors THEN 50 kids on one tramp at one time and finally onto roasting marshmallows - Mmmmmm!
Monday: Boating w/the neighbors - Dad's and kids - hence why I will probably not get pics of this event =( Now to get ready for a BBQ w/my family!! It's been an amazing weekend but I'm a little sleepy! Happy 4th everyone!!
