Fall/Halloween 2010

Okay, now that I've waited SO long to update my blog, the last almost 5 months have kind of blended into one day (so it seems)! The first few months of Braeden's life, Kylee became a Daddy's girl and I felt like THE GUILTIEST Mom in the whole entire world! I had so many mixed emotions when we started getting into "real" life w/our new Little Man! I was SO very happy to have him in our home safe and sound, yet I felt so guilty not being able to participate in the things with Kylee that I always had been able too. For the past almost 7 years of my life Kylee has been my world - I've been able to do practically everything with her and now it had all come to a fast hault! I missed out on so much when we brought Braeden home, yet I was able to bond w/my Little Man and wouldn't trade it for anything in the whole world (see - mixed emotions - ha ha)! Now that I look back - what a blessing! I was able to bond and get to know our new little guy while Brett was able to become closer w/Kylee and get to participate in those things that he normally would not have been able too!

So, here's a run down on the pics below:

Brett took Kylee on a Daddy Daughter date to Gardner Village to see the witches and they had so much fun - THEN Kylee wanted us to all go back so we took Braeden on our first real outting back to Gardner Village! I think he enjoyed it just as much as we did!

Brett and Kylee went on the annual neighborhood family home evening to the corn maze and then to get yogurt (I SOOO wanted to go, but it was way to cold for Braeden so I stayed home and cleaned instead - sigh)! Kylee said she had so much fun answering all the questions and trying to find her way out w/all her friends!

Then came the week long Halloween celebration (just thinking about it makes me tired all over again)! Between family parties, neighbor parties, school parties and the actual day - this was one of THE longest weeks ever! Ha ha! Kylee had so much fun dressing up as the "Bloodstone Vampiress" and Little Man wore a cute Halloween shirt that Kris got him! All in all - it was fun but so very tiring (the last pic of Kylee speaks for itself)!

OH - and we can't forget Brett's turkey! Yay!! We got it back and it looks SO beautiful (can you sense the sarcasm here?)! But in all honesty, Brett was so excited to get it back - just hope it gets to stay in the garage ;)

AND - now I just realized these are all going from end to beginning (the pics anyway) and I am too tired to fix them, so, just look at the pics from the bottom up! He he!

Time to Catch Up!

So, a day or two before Braeden entered into this fabulous world, we sold our car (PERFECT timing - NOT)!! As the husband and wife that purchased our car has a professional studio in their home (for newborns), part of the "sale" included getting Braeden and Kylee's pictures ($250 worth of a sitting fee and all pics on a CD) for free - SWEET!!!! Here are some of the pics that were taken (I guess I'll even include the family pic, which I like of everyone but me - sigh! I guess that's what I get for taking pics 4 days after delivery)!

Welcome Braeden Alan Bowles

Wow, there is SO much to catch up on and I feel so very overwhelmed but I guess I should start out by saying that "Little Man" has arrived - FINALLY!!! Braeden Alan Bowles was born on Sunday, September 19th at 2:15 p.m. (after being in labor for 12 hours)! First off - what the crap?? I heard that the second child usually comes faster than the first. Now, I know I got lucky with Kylee and only was in labor for 5 hours with her (on my own) but 12 hours for Braeden? REALLY?? I started having contractions at about midnight on Sat night/Sun morning (of course I went this day, as I was supposed to be induced the following day when MY doctor was back in town - lucky for us, the on-all doctor was amazing) and we finally went to the hospital around 2:00 in the morning (Kylee and all). After debating if they should send me home or not (which I have NO clue why they would send me home - my contractions were 3 mins apart and I was at a 4) they finally decided they were going to admit me and I was induced at 9:00 that morning! They broke my water around noon, I believe and I pushed once around 2:00 p.m. and they told me to STOP!! Ummmm - 10 mins of not being able to push - AHHHHHH! Not fun, but as soon as the doc got there, I believe I pushed maybe four more times and Braeden was here - healthy (6 lbs 10.5 oz and 19 inches)! Yay!!!!

I am just going to attach some of my fav pics (as there are way too many to post) but wow, we just can't get enough of him! He is just such a good baby - very content. If he's fed, changed and burped - he's good to go! He LOVES Kylee very much and Kylee loves him.

Braeden - you are such a blessing to our family! It is truly a miracle that you are here. With all the worry that you brought us (not that you meant to) we finally get to hold you in our arms and know that you are here safe and sound! We have loved every minute you have been here! You LOVE your big sister Kylee! You LOVE when she sings to you. You can be crying and fussy and all I have to do is put you in her arms, she starts singing, and you calm right down! We are so blessed to have you and Kylee in our lives - you truly are our angels! We love you "Little Man" and are so glad you are a part of our family!
