Pregnancy Update!

Last week we had a scare w/the baby - and after speaking w/the on-call doctor, he thought I needed to be seen the next day. After what we've had to go through thus far I was really scared and nervous but was rest assured after listening to the baby's heartbeat like 5 or 6 times that night and the next morning (thx to a friend of ours' that let us borrow her heart monitor). It definitely came in handy!

As Brett was really sick the day before, I told him it was probably best he not go w/me to the doc so that he doesn't get all the preggo women sick, so my Mom went with me instead. When we got there they took us directly back to the ultrasound room to check everything out. The technician was so very nice and considerate and asked if I wanted her to turn off the picture in front of me, until she could see what was going on - but I had to see. After seeing no heartbeat w/my prior miscarriages I now know what I'm looking for.

Yay - there was a strong heartbeat and everything was measuring to the day of what they expected me to be at (15 wks 4 days). I was so, so thankful - and then - the tech said "Oh, I know what you're having!" I turned my head back to my Mom and said "Brett's going to be pissed (yes - my Mom hates this word w/a passion) but we're finding out!!!" Anyway, I kind of new what she was going say at this point but she let us know that we are having - A BOY!!! I was a little shocked (cuz I've never, ever, ever been around boys before), but we are so, so excited and we can't wait for Kylee to have a baby brother!!!
